There are many different types of pain medicines. Some only relieve pain. Some treat both pain and swelling. Here's a closer look at what you should know about some popular pain medicines. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) relieves pain and fever, but not swelling. Therefore it is often used to treat headaches or sinus pain. It is unclear exactly how acetaminophen works. It can be bought without a prescription, but that does not mean it's risk-free. It can cause serious damage to the liver at higher than recommended doses. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or "NSAIDs" are another type of pain medicine. For some NSAIDs you must have a prescription, but others you can buy over-the-counter. NSAIDs treat both pain and swelling. NSAIDs work by blocking an enzyme called COX. There are two forms of the COX enzyme in the body: • COX-1, which is found in the body and is important for protecting the stomach lining • COX-2, which is made when joints are damaged and may cause some of the pain and swelling of arthritis Non-selective NSAIDs act on both forms of the COX enzyme. Naproxen (Aleve), ibuprofen (Advil), and aspirin are all examples of NSAIDs that block both types of enzymes. There are other types of NSAIDs called COX-2 specific inhibitors. They target the COX-2 enzyme, but not the COX-1. CELEBREX® (celecoxib capsules) is an example of a COX-2 specific inhibitor. Finding the right pain reliever is important. That's why people should talk to their doctors to find out the treatment that will work best for them. Your doctor is the best source of information about the benefits and risks of different treatment options. Be sure to discuss all the medicines you are taking so that your doctor can recommend what is right for you based on your medical needs. Per AE and Dorothy-took out FPO from picture Finding the right pain reliever is important. Talk to your doctor to find out which pain reliever is right for you. Client wants 1-888-CELEBREX Important Information: CELEBREX, like all prescription NSAIDs, may increase the chance of a heart attack or stroke that can lead to death. It should not be used right before or after certain heart surgeries. Serious skin reactions or stomach and intestine problems such as bleeding and ulcers can occur without warning and may cause death. Patients taking aspirin and the elderly are at increased risk for stomach bleeding and ulcers. Tell your doctor if you: • Are pregnant • Have a history of ulcers or bleeding in the stomach or intestines • Have high blood pressure or heart failure • Have kidney or liver problems People with aspirin-sensitive asthma or allergic reactions due to aspirin or other arthritis medicines or certain drugs called sulfonamides should not take CELEBREX. Prescription CELEBREX should be used exactly as prescribed at the lowest dose possible and for the shortest time needed.

Artificial intelligence and xbox 360
Let's leave the format war between Sony and Microsoft and explore a gaming phenomena that unquestionably improves current gaming trends -- Artificial Intelligence, or AI to many. Touted to make new breakthroughs and trends in the world of gaming, AI is the enabling of intricate decision-making capabilities in a software. Speaking of AI, the Xbox 360 boasts of an AI-capable system designed and developed by many brilliant and innovative engineers. Though the Xbox also has this feature, it is more pronounced and better in the new console combined with the HD DVD technology. Of course, such high-quality consoles deserve top-notch games and the developers stepped up to the challenge. Game developers for Xbox and its new improved counterpart also added AI programs to their games, giving the in-game personas the ability to think like a real person. With the vast power of the new consoles, the whole universe of gaming comes alive. A summary of the improvements AI bring to online gaming: non-player characters or NPCs act in realistic manner, not to mention that allies are more helpful and enemies become more fiendish than ever. Such simplistic notions cannot fully express the benefit of AI in a game sequence. The simplicity of the summation only contrives to hide the complexity of the AI behind the Xbox 360. But the concept of AI is not a modern one. In fact, AI is a subject of discussion, debates, and practical simulations within the academic setting for years. Chris Satchell, Microsoft's General Manager for Game Development, attests to this fact. From the development of Pac-Man, game designers and developers have been employing the use of AI, even if it is just in its simplest state. Take Pac-Man for example, wherein the main objective is to eat as many golden pellets as possible without being eaten by the "ghosts." This simplicity is matched by the elementary pre-scripted AI patterns used. The ghosts almost always follow a straight line but they deviate from their path when they sense your presence. It is noticeable especially when your Pac-Man does not change position at all -- the ghosts move according to the path, changing directions only when they get close to you. Twenty years later since Pac-Man, family computers, and many computer hardware changes, game developers still use the same simplistic AI tricks. The hardwares evolve to accommodate the intensity of the modern graphics as well as the sound system for more biting audio. However, despite these changes, AI programs continue to be a sort of last-minute addition. In fact, the programs are deemed to be unimportant in gaming. As a result, the NPCs, largely remained as stupid bots who don't move even if caught in a crossfire. This is what the AI programs for the Xbox 360 take care of. Satchell affirms that the new processing model composed of three powerful symmetric cores more than makes up for the lack of "reality" of the old console models. He asserts that this new Microsoft innovation is really a paradigmatic shift because the standard for game consoles and computer hardware is the use of a single core. He added that this shift to a three-core system will add considerable burden to the lives of game developers but add to greater delight of all Xbox 360 gamers. This is because a fully AI-capable three-core system provides greater flexibility and more cycles which make gaming more exciting and interesting. The key to achieving that is to make sure that the AI programs of the new Xbox run smoothly on all three cores. Therefore, the developers need to take extensive sections from their codes and test it on all three cores. As a result of all these great efforts, the CPU's main processor does not take all the burden of handling multiple tasks; instead, the added cores take over the job. The results are more efficient gaming, sharper graphics, quality audio, and thinking characters which give Xbox 360 games advantage over others.
Student credit repair solutions for building credit
When it comes to life the majority are always assuming, and the most of them assume the worst. Creditors, debtors or anyone today all base their theories on assumptions and assumptions from the beginning of time have caused nothing but failure. When people fail to pay their bills on time, many of the creditors assume that the debtor does not have the means to pay the debt. Many creditors with the assumption that you are not capable of paying your bills will often set up an arrangement or else lower the amount so that you can repay the debt. This is a step to credit repair, however it takes you to contact the creditors to let them know your situation. If you have several bills on hand and all the bills are pressing it makes sense to payoff the debt that benefits you the most. After this bill is paid you can set aside an amount the following paycheck to payoff another of the bills. Once you follow this strategy it allows you to work your bills down gradually thus repairing your credit. If you don’t have the funds to repay the entire bill at most pay the minimum amount so that you can continue using the service. Most debtors assume they are in debt and there is nothing they can do to resolve the problems that plague their lives everyday. Creditors are always on their back, and their paychecks are never enough to make ends meet. This is the process of giving up on life. When we give up it often leads to stress. The answer is often in front of them or comes somewhere down the line. Sometimes we see Credit Counseling or Debt Consolidation advertisings and think, ‘how can they help me.” The fact is Debt Consolidation is only a lead to get creditors off your back for a moment. Credit Counselors are more prone to help you find a solution to repairing your credit. Credit Counselors is the solution when you don’t see a way out on your own. The professionals work closely with your creditors, you, and work toward a resolve. This is certainly a way to get creditors off your back, work out an agreement with your debts, and reduce the stress level that comes along with financial burdens. Some of the Credit Counseling Services offer a low fee for their services and provide you with a financial managing solution. The services often offer help with managing your money, as well as offering counseling to homeowners, students, and so on. There are many solutions for debt relief so the key then is not assuming the worst. Again the main solution is paying off the debts that are considered priorities. If you have secured loans it is always wise to find a way to pay these bills first. Unsecured loans pose a threat, but nothing compared to secured debts. Some of the nonessential bills can include credit cards. Although you are responsible for this bill, however the worst that happens with credit cards is that you loose your privileges. Check your terms & agreements, since some credit cards may allow you to pay the interest on the cards. This will give you the time you need to find a solution for paying off the card. Some cards may even allow you to pay the minimum balance on the card and allow you to keep the card in your possession. If you have credit cards you might want to consider paying your bills, which will give you time to repay the credit card. Pay the maximum amount on the credit card before the bill comes in so that you have funds available to pay your bills the following month in case you don’t have the funds available. There is always a solution, so never assume that you can’t deal with any problem. You might want to cut back on some of your spending so that you will have extra cash when those bills come in also. Cutting back only provides a solution for gaining money and repairing your credit.
What are the best fundraising strategies to use
Fundraising strategies are as numerous as the funds that will come in when they are in place. There are so many different fundraising strategies that you will be hard pressed to choose the one that’s best for you. Maybe your fundraising might include having a shoeshine service set up in a busy mall downtown or if you have an artist in your group have him/her sketch pictures of passersby. There is plenty of information available about fundraising and many strategies to choose from. Your fundraising strategies should include a good plan. You need to make sure that the volunteers understand what is expected of them no matter what strategies you choose. Make sure that each of them has enough fundraising information as not to confuse the group when it comes time for action. A fundraising event should go smoothly if good fundraising strategies are in place. Some of the fundraising strategies include using grants offered by the government. Some people don’t even realize that this avenue exists for getting funds for organizations. By getting the fundraising information you need, you can find out what grants are available. You can find information about these fundraising grants in any library. You do have to write in and request an application, but it could prove to be very profitable in the long run. This fundraising strategy can be time consuming but will be worth it. Sometimes there are ongoing grants so make sure you get all the fundraising information that is available and start filling out those forms. There are also a wide variety of fundraising strategies such as lotteries and raffles. Tickets sales and games of chance prove to be very popular with the people. With this strategy you have to have a suitable prize to make a lot of money, if the prize is worth it you will be surprised at how good the sales will be. Once you have fundraising information, then the sky is the limit. You can try and email fundraising campaign. Of course, again there is a drawback with this method as most people delete e mails that they don’t recognize because of the fear of viruses. However, if you send out enough emails, your fundraising efforts could prove to be very successful. There are lots of fundraising strategies. The hard part is picking the right one for you.
Profitable trading system
After you have found a profitable trading system that you already back-tested, how can you be sure that this system will produce the same gains in future? Nobody can predict the future, your system can easily make losses in next years or can be no tradable. There are some tests you must do before accepting a trading system, these tests swill show the robustness of your system and when passing these tests, it will be more likely to show gain in future. Test 1 : Make sure that you put liquidity rule, that your entry and exit prices are realizable. Test 2: Examine again your trading systems and your rules (This is very important). I made dozen of trading systems that showed great results but after more examination, it showed that i cannot follow them in real life. Check if there is one stock that made very big gain, the system will maybe become no profitable without this stock. Test 3: Change twice or 3 times the date of begin for the simulation, if it still show good results then it has passed the test 3. Test 4: Change values of some parameters or variables you have in your trading system rules, you must change one value and then back-test, change another and then back-test... If the results are not affected very badly then it passed the test 4. Test 5: Try to restrict the system from buying 20% or more of stocks you previously bought when doing the back-test. Then re-run the back-test. To pass this test, system must show pretty the same results as before. Test 6: Equity chart must have a good look, check some statistic values like sharpe ratio, sortino ratio, standard deviation, maximum drawdown, average day for gains recovery... It depends on the risk you are willing to take but choose only systems that have : higher sharpe ratio, higher sortino ratio, lower standard deviation, lower maximum drawdown... Exclude systems that have very big max drawdown, standard deviation and average day for gains recovery. The must important factor i think is average day for gains recovery. Its the average number of day that you must wait until your equity value will goes back to the same level before the drawdown happen. Big values will let you wait for long times before recovering gains and for sure many traders will abandon their trading system, and that's the worse thing that can happen to a trader because just after that, the system will show excellent results. (That's always happen) Theses tests are very restrictive and you will reject maybe all your trading systems, but when trading you will put your money, real money, so i think you must be very selective to make all chance in your side.

Landscape can drive home values
The look of your lawn and garden may be the first and perhaps the most lasting impression people have of your home and property. Landscaping plays an essential role in enhancing its beauty and increasing the value. Fortunately, homeowners can turn their own landscapes into works of art at an affordable price. In recent years, many companies have begun to introduce more varieties of bagged rock and mulch. A new line of decorative rock and stone from Vigoro offers landscaping enthusiasts 26 varieties of bagged products in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Decorative landscaping stones and mulches are not only an excellent way to beautify and accent garden beds, ponds, driveways and walkways, they also provide natural benefits to the soil and plants. These benefits include controlling and reducing erosion, retaining moisture, controlling weeds and insulating the soil. Here are a few tips on choosing and applying mulch: • Choose mulch that is long lasting and not easily washed away. • Pick mulch that has a loose structure to let water pass through quickly. • Apply mulch in late spring. This helps reduce soil temperature and save water. • Apply fine mulches one to two inches deep. Coarse or fluffy mulches should be put on three to four inches deep. • Apply mulch evenly and level it with a rake or your hands. • Wet thoroughly after applying mulch. • Pull mulch a few inches away from plant stems and tree trunks. To further control weeds and keep plants healthy, there's a new mulch called Vigoro Mulch with Weed Stop. It's the first to contain pre-emergent herbicide, controlling unwanted weeds for up to four months yet allowing bulbs, established flowers, shrubs and trees to thrive. This mulch is certified by the Mulch and Soil Council as only containing natural forest products.
Dirk nowitzki nba season
Born on June 19, 1979, Dirk Nowitzki is a native of Germany and currently plays for the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. After applying early for entry into the 1998 NBA Draft, Nowitzki was selected ninth overall by the Milwaukee Bucks. He was immediately traded, however, to the Dallas Mavericks. He struggled during his early career, as many athletes do, but has since risen to become one of the top players in the league. During his NBA rookie season, Dirk Nowitzki averaged 8.2 points per game. The following year, during the 1999-2000 season, found Dirk finishing second in the NBA’s Most Improved Player voting. That season, he played in each of the 82 regular season games and averaged 17.5 points per game, which was more than double his average for the previous season. By the time the 2000-2001 season rolled around, Dirk Nowitzki became the first player in team history to be selected to the All-NBA team. At that time, he became the team’s leading scorer with an average of 21.8 points per game. In the 2001-2002 season, Nowitzki’s success continued to grow as he averaged 23.4 points per game. During a bout of misfortune, Dirk Nowitzki suffered an injury to his left ankle that kept him from participating in six games. This marked the first time he had ever missed a game due to injuries. During the 2002-2003 NBA season, Dirk Nowitzki scored a team-high average of 25.1 points per game. In addition, he averaged career-high assists and steals. In December 2002, Nowitzki missed two games due to yet another ankle injury. This one, however, affected the right ankle, which was sprained during a December 10 game against the Clippers. When the 2003-2004 season was underway, Dirk Nowitzki was averaging 21.8 points per game. During a November competition, a right ankle sprain took him out of the game after only seven minutes of play. This injury led to five games being missed. Today, Dirk Nowitzki averages 26.6 points per game, stands 7' tall and weighs 245 lbs. He is a forward that can often be intimidating to opponents as he not only has the height to earn points, but to rebound with ease. Away from the court, Dirk Nowitzki enjoys reading and playing the saxophone. His mother and father, both skilled in sports, have two children. Dirk’s sister, Silke, works for the NBA in International TV. His father, Joerg, played handball and his mother, Helen, was a star player for the German women’s national basketball team. Just before joining the NBA, Dirk Nowitzki served a mandatory term with the German Army from September 1997 through June 1998. Fans who would like to request a signed photo or simply send Dirk Nowitzki their best wishes are urged to do so in care of his NBA franchise team. If you are requesting an autograph, be sure to include a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) along with your request. It is recommended that fans not send an item that they could not afford to lose, such as prized possessions or limited edition collectibles. There is never a guarantee that an athlete will be able to accommodate every autograph request, which is why the most common items to send include a blank index card, trading card and/or photo. Letters and requests should be mailed to: Dirk Nowitzki Dallas Mavericks The Pavilion 2909 Taylor St. Dallas, TX 75226
Anatomy of an article submission
Writing and submitting articles to publishers in order to promote your business, services and products is a wise choice for any entrepreneur. The only cost for this kind of marketing project is your time and, if you want the maximum benefits, the amount you pay your proofreader/editor. Many people are overwhelmed by the submission process and don't know where to begin. I have outlined below the ten steps I take with each article submission project. Having a process in place makes organizing submissions so much easier and removes the confusion of where of what to do first. 1. Start by having your article proofread and then add it to your website. Make sure you have a catchy title and a by-line that compels readers to take action. 2. Use a text to html tool to format your by-line so that your URL will appear live when your article is posted on a site. I recommend you use the tool at thephantomwriters/link-builder. pl 3. Collect the information you'll need for most submission sites including: title, author name, address, phone number, e-mail, website URL, topic, two line summary of the article, word count, line count, article URL, auto responder address (if available), document file names and 10-15 keywords. 4. Make a list of the type of submission sites appropriate for your article. I use EzineAnnouncer to collect and keep track of my submission list and I always write down the categories that are a match for my article. My latest submission qualified for more than 400 sites but your success depends upon your article topic. 5. Begin submitting to sites that accept articles by e-mail. Never send an attachment unless asked. Incorporate the entire article into the e-mail and include an option for the recipient to opt-out of your list. 6. Your next step should be to sign-up for all new submission sites on your list that require registration. Typically, you have to wait for a confirmation e-mail before submitting. You can move on to the next step while you wait. 7. Submit to all sites you have registered for and to all sites not needing registration but offering a submission form. 8. Check your e-mail, confirm your new accounts and visit those sites to add your article. Keep track of your login and password for each site. 9. Update your submission list by removing or correcting bounced e-mail addresses and URL errors. You will also need to add your new submission sites to your list. 10. Create a report to keep on your computer with the name and URL of the sites you used for submission. Update this list when you submit your older articles to newly discovered sites. Create your own submission process by building on the steps I have provided and you will find your submissions taking less time while helping you to become more organized. (c) 2005. Website not producing paying customers common mistakes found in business websites
Today, a business website is not only a tool, it is a marketing essential. With many more customers starting their search for good local businesses online, you may be cheating yourself if you do no have a website, or if you have common detourants within your current website. In fact, some reports show that up to 75% of first time customers looking for a new business will indeed begin their search online first. "But I have a website." You may have a website, but is it drawing in the amount of business that you want? If you are getting visitors to your website, but they are just simply not converting to paying customers, then your website may actually be detouring customers away, rather then grabbing them in. Websites made on "do-it yourself" editors, Websites that were made during the "website boom," among others may have some common errors that drive your customers away. Here are a few common mistakes found in none-productive websites: 1) Slow loading - One of the common mistakes website owners make us actually adding too much to their website. The more heavy graphic images and content that the customer has to download, the longer it will take for your website to load. If it takes too long, chances are the visitor will hit back without even seeing your website. We understand that you may have a lot to say or show about your business, but the proper way to do this is to split it all up into a few pages instead of one. 2) Outdated information - If your website was made several years ago, and you have not updated the content since, then chances are you will not get the most out of your websites. Your business changes over the years, so your website should change with it. Because, after all, would you hire a business if the only information you can find was post dated 2 or 3 years? 3) Unprofessional websites - This mistake is largely found in websites created during the "website boom" which took place around the start of the 21st century. Then, it was not uncommon to see websites with simple layouts, pictures that simply did not match the business, animated characters, etc. Plus, most of the technology we have today just simply was not available then. This is just not accepted anymore. If you open your website, and there are blinking or moving graphics that do not relate to our website (ex: an animated running dog breaks up your paragraphs, or a "new" sign blinks a few different colors) then chances are your customers are turning away. 4) No content - A website needs to tell as much as possible about your business. If your website only contains a few sentences, and then a "contact me for more information" link, then you will lose customers. The reason customers start their search online is so that they can find out as much information as possible, without having to go through the trouble of contacting businesses and asking. 5) No contact information - You would think providing your contact information would be a no-brainer. You would be surprised at how many companies accidentally leave this out. On the other hand, some only leave their address, which requires the customer to find the business in person in order to inquiry about their services or products. Make sure to leave either an email address or a phone number along with your address. 6) Javascripts - Javascript was a popular language during the website boom. Javascript is the language that controls things such as pop-ups ads, pop-ups messages, scrolling toolbars, etc. When used correctly, javascript can add beneficial dynamic content to your site. However, when used wrong, it may make your site look unprofessional, load slow, or may cause errors that do not allow your website to load at all. If your website has any of the common mistakes found above, then I assure you that you will benefit from a website redesign. The good news is: redesigns are usually a lot less painful, and less costly then the initial design was. A good design company can take your current website, and make it stunning in a very short period of time.
How to protest the online gambling ban
Protesting the government is not a cast of protesting a company because you do not like a product, this is a case of you trying to change the mind of the government and this can be hard to do, but it can be done. Before you can even have a chance at holding a successful protest the first thing you should do is to circulate an online petition, this will give you an idea of how many people support your cause and gives you a list of names with phone numbers that you can call to get people to come to your protest. The next step is to go online and find other groups protesting the new internet gambling act, and see if that group would be willing to join your protest, the more people protesting the online gambling ban the better the chances are of getting the law reversed. After this you should start a letter writing campaign not only to your local congressmen but to all the Congressmen and see where they stand. Some of them will not be in support of the online gambling ban and will be willing to not only sign your petition but will be hey may be even willing to speak at your protest. The next step is to plane your protest. The timing of your protest is important if you choose to protest at the Whitehouse you do not want to do it when the president is not there or if you choose to make your stand at congress do not do it at a time they are on a brake, this can make a big difference in the effectiveness of your protest. Make sure to have a well written press release to the press at least 2 days before the protest to ensure that you will get press coverage. The more people who hear about your protest the more names you can get on your petition. The point of a petition is to basically let someone know that people are not happy with what they are doing, and if enough people protest the government you can get them to change their decision. This is especially true with a politician. They know thee job depends on votes and if they are going to gain enough votes to secure their job they will do it even if they truly do not agree with it. You must apply for a permit to protest at least 30 days in advance, or if there are delays you may not have a permit on the day you have told your protesters to show up, to truly insure you have time, apply for the permits at least 60 days in advance. When applying for the permits you should be able to find out about the rules for setting up any sound equipment you will need so you can make the arrangements for them. The only thing left to do for your online gambling ban protest is to wait for the big day.
Flea control the in s and out s of getting rid of those pesky critters
Bleh – fleas! ‘Tis the season – are you prepared? It’s not just at home where you need to be ready either. Different geographical areas have different climate conditions so the flea season varies depending on where you are – keep that in mind whether you are at home or traveling. Something else to be aware of is that fleas, in various stages of their disgusting lives, can survive indoors even during the cold weather. Following are some helpful facts about fleas and information on how you can prevent them from infesting your pets and your home. Even though there are more than 2,000 known species and subspecies of fleas, only one class of flea called the ‘cat flea’ is to blame for almost all the fleas found on cats and dogs in the United States. What is really daunting is that there is evidence of fleas dating all the way back to the dinosaur era which means they obviously aren’t going away by themselves – all the more reason to do something to protect your pets and family. Most fleas can survive for an average of two to three months without ‘food’ which is actually the blood they suck from their ‘hosts’. A female flea consumes 15 times her own body weight in blood daily! You should also know that while adult fleas suck blood from a cat, dog or other mammal, their larvae live and feed on organic debris in the host animal's environment – that’s your home! Be aware that some fleas can jump 150 times their own length – that compares to a human jumping 1,000 feet. So if you happen to see one flea, there may be more than 100 offspring or adults looming nearby in furniture, carpeting or on your pet. Now let’s talk about how to prevent these gross little parasites from getting into your life and how to get rid of them if they do. As a pet owner, one of your main responsibilities is to keep your pet healthy. Taking them to the vet for their annual check ups is very important. While you’re there, be sure to talk to your veterinarian about a flea prevention method for your furry friends such as Advantage, Advantix or Frontline. Certain products can also help to prevent ticks in addition to fleas. If you see fleas on your pets or in your home, take action immediately. Not only are fleas a huge annoyance, but they can also transmit diseases and tapeworm. If your home becomes infested, you will probably need to purchase flea bombs – make sure read and adhere to the directions carefully and contact your vet to get further advice and relief for your pet and family.
New business trading equity for cash
You awake in the middle of the night with a business idea that will change the world. The only problem, of course, is you need money to get the business moving. What do you do? Investors and Equity Practically every economy is built upon the backs of small businesses and entrepreneurs. Every day someone comes up with an idea that will make a great business. Every day, these same people wonder how they will come up with the cash to get the business off the ground. The classic answer is to look for investors, and this is where things can go bad. If you’re seeking investors for your business, you are going to need to form a business entity. Corporations and limited liability companies are the most popular, and give you the ability to trade ownership interest in exchange for cash contributions. With a corporation, investors will buy shares in the corporation. With limited liability companies, the investors will buy membership interests. Regardless, this traditional exchange gives rise to a problem common among small business owners, to wit, giving away too much equity. From Joy to Misery A common mistake made by new business owners is to give away too much equity when getting initial cash contributions. This occurs because you let insecurities impact you evaluation of the business. Instead of giving away two percent of equity in exchange for $50,000, you give away ten percent. Let’s look at an example. I start a business selling digital gadgets. I prepare my business plan and realize I need $250,000 to get everything up and running. I have $50,000, but need to find the rest somewhere. I form a corporation with 1,000 shares and start approaching potential investors. I offer 100 shares for $25,000. I find five investors that give me $125,000 in exchange for 500 total shares. In summary, I now have $175,000, but have given away half the equity in the business. While I am not happy about this, I am still so enthused about the business idea that I shrug it off. The business gets rolling and I start selling gadgets like a madman after one year. This gives rise to a serious cash problem. I am getting orders, but can’t fill them because of cash flow problems. To make a proper go of the business, I need another $100,000. Where am I going to get $100,000? My business is only one year old, so a bank won’t touch it. My investors haven’t seen penny one back, and are unwilling to put more money in. My only option is to sell another 400 shares for $100,000. Fortunately, I sell the shares, raise the money and stay in business. However, there is a major problem. In raising all of this money, I have now sold off ninety percent of the equity in the business. I am left owning 100 shares and only 10 percent of the business. This is going to severely impact my physical, emotionally and overall motivational well being. Slowly but surely, I am going to become very bitter. It was my idea and I am doing all the work! It isn’t fair that I only own 10 percent of the business! On second thought, this impression may come on very quickly. Regardless, the business is destined to experience major problems because the primary motivating force is no longer motivated. Unfortunately, many people with business ideas run into this problem. If you are starting a business, guard your equity at all costs. Selling equity should be a last resort. Try to get loans or trade profit sharing in lieu of selling equity. If you must sell equity, do so only in small percentages. You do not want to the small business person in the example above.
Breastfeeding my baby where do i start
Congratulations you have a new baby! Having a new baby is hard enough but when you choose to breastfeed you sometimes feel that you made this experience even harder. Breastfeeding is not as difficult as it looks or as you may have heard from others. It is actually pretty easy and a very fulfilling way to nourish your newborn once you get the hang of it. Remember as with most things practice makes perfect! Breastfeeding is new to you and to your little one but with a little practice you two will become pros in no time! During the first week of your baby’s life, your breasts will produce colostrum for your baby to drink. Colostrum is rich in antibodies and aids the baby’s immune system. It also helps him pass his first bowel movement, which is called meconium. Meconium is black and tarry looking and is in the first few diapers after birth. Then he begins to transition to a brown substance and after your milk comes in, it becomes a yellow, mustardy stool that is loose and watery. Bottle-fed babies pass firmer, tannish stools than breastfed babies. After 24-48 hours after birth, your baby will start having wet diapers that will increase to two or three a day. Your technique and positioning is a very important factor in ensuring that your breastfeeding experience is a great one. There are a few different positions that can be used to make the experience more comfortable for you and baby. Some of these positions include: • Laying down - Lay down on you side with pillows behind you to support your back. Lay baby facing you with her head on a pillow your breast should be level with baby’s mouth. Bend your legs with a pillow between your knees and then have baby latch on. • Sitting Up – Sit up either in bed or a comfortable chair or couch with pillows supporting your back and head. Place a pillow on your lap and put baby on top of the pillow in your arms, you can rest your arms on the pillow to make it easier to bring baby up to your breast. Bend your knees to make this even easier have baby latch on. • The Clutch Hold – This is also known as the football hold. This position is also good when nursing twins as it allows mom to have a baby on each side. Sit down and tuck your baby under your arm almost like a handbag. Rest baby’s head on a firm pillow on your lap. Ensure that baby’s feet are behind your back. Your hand is at the back of baby’s neck, not on baby’s head. Your arm will extend down baby’s back , guide baby to latch on These are just a few of the positions that you can use there is also the cradle hold, clutch hold, and the transition position. Do some research to learn these other positions to nurse your baby if you find the above positions uncomfortable. While your baby drinks colostrum and then milk, you should listen for a pattern of “suck, suck, suck, swallow.” This pattern will be rhythmic and there should be no “clicking” noises. The “clicking” sound can indicate that your baby is not properly latched on and may not be getting enough milk from you. If you start to hear this, you need to unlatch him and then reattach him. If you continue to hear this sound after reattaching him several times, then you may want to consult a lactation consultant or your pediatrician. After the first week of life, you should see 6-8 wet diapers each day and at least 3 bowel movements a day. His urine should be clear and he should become more alert with each passing day. Your baby should also be gaining weight and growing, as this is the surest way to tell that they are getting enough nutrition. If you have two days in a row that deviates from the above indicators, then you should call your pediatrician immediately. Breastfeeding problems, such as milk production difficulties, are not as common when using the PDF feeding method, but they do occur. Even if you are well rested, eating healthy, have a pretty routine life, and your baby is growing and getting enough food, you still may experience a milk production issue. Many things can cause production problems. Here are just a few. Some things that can affect your milk supply are: • What mom eats • How much mom rests and sleeps • Her state of mind • The age of the mom • How many children you have • Your desire to breastfeed • Your nursing capabilities • Your nursing techniques • Baby’s latch on abilities If you choose to breastfeed, it is very important that you take your baby for their check-ups as needed. If you don’t, how will you know if he is getting enough milk and growing at the correct rate? There is no way for you to tell that your child is getting enough nutrition for sure without your child being weighed.
The ironman triathlon and a glass of water
If I could take one thing back from all the ironman training I did over the years, it would be the thousands of laps I did in the pool with the hopes of thrashing out a faster swim time. If you are an age grouper or a novice Ironman, there is really no point in spending hours and hours in the pool if you are already at the point where you can easily handle the distance. To devote your valuable training time to enable you to complete the swim 4 or 5 minutes faster is a very poor return on your time investment. It seems that there are many ironman athletes out there who push way to hard in the swim. The excess energy you burn in that opening leg is simply not recoverable and won't be there for the bike and run. I firmly believe the reason so many people hit the wall in the marathon, is because they expended so much in the swim. The bike leg just finishes the job of depleting your resources. There's no medal for swimming fast. There's not even a t-shirt if you swim fast and don't cross the finish line. Even being the very first out of the water means little is you can't put three events together. Take for example Kona, 1984. The winning swimmer was Djan Madruga. You might be asking yourself, "who the heck is he?" My point exactly. Djan was a world class swimmer and he beat the likes of Dave Scott, Mark Tinley and Mark Allen out of the water that day. However, Djan ran a 4:47 marathon and Dave Scott ran a 2:53. This is where my theory comes in of running an Ironman like your energy, strength and endurance are all contained in a full glass of water when the start gun sounds. Try and avoid expending half of that glass of water before you even get on the bike. That means your glass could well be down to the last quarter---or less, before you even put on your running shoes. I really believe there is a direct relationship between the Ironman shuffle and a poorly executed swim. I remember the race where I finally began to understand pace and how best to nurse that all important glass of water right up to the last mile of the marathon. It began with learning how to swim easier--or--more efficiently, and not faster. I learned how to relax in the water and to use looooonnnng, smoooooth, strokes. I couldn't believe how good I felt in the swim-bike transtion. I probably used less than a quarter of that glass of energy. For the first 40 km. of the bike I let myself get into the rhythm of the change of demands on my body before I settled into the race pace I felt I could hold for the remaining 140 km. I could "not" believe the run. Normally, it was a struggle from mile one. This time I seemed to settle into a rhythm that I could maintain from the very beginning and the usual tiny voice telling me to walk because it hurt so much, never appeared. To emphasis my point, I remember beginning to count the athletes I passed as the marathon progressed. It was a way of keeping my mind occupied and when I reached 350 that I had passed, I just quit counting, because it became a chore there were so many. Needless to say, everyone I passed was either faster than me in the swim, on the bike, or in transition---or all three. The whole point is, it doesn't really matter how fast they were up to that point if they're walking now. Why spend hours and hours learning to swim faster if you're going to walk most of the marathon? Just do the math. Say I'm running about an 8:15 pace like I did that year, from start to finish, and I pass someone at mile 10 and they have begun to walk and end up walking most of the marathon? They'll probably cross that finish line about 2 hours after me. That's the same person who swam faster and biked faster than I did. I had half a glass of water left and they were on empty at mile ten of the marathon. I believe the best place to empty that glass is about 1 kilometer from the finish line. Its about there that the fan support has grown to huge proportions and most important of all you can hear the race announcer at the finish line. Those two happenings will carry you to the finish line. At that point, nothing is going to stop you. I also think its best to be on empty just before the finish, because like me, if you finish and feel great and have a fast recovery, you most likely crossed the finish line with a quarter of a glass left. And hey! You don't want to wonder years down the road if you left something out on the course that day.
Euphorbia prostata cures hemorrhoids
Many suffer from it silently, without telling anyone about it. Piles, or swollen blood vessels in and around the anus and lower rectum that stretch under pressure symptomized most commonly by bleeding, is still considered a taboo subject. With fast-paced progress in medical science, however, piles is now being recognized more judiciously and scientifically at par with other medical problems. Whereas on one hand, awareness on the ailment, and on the fact that treatments are in fact available to alleviate it has increased, on the other hand, it has also led to the mushrooming of quacks making tall claims without any substance. Piles or hemorrhoids are very common in both men and women. According to available data, about half of the population has hemorrhoids by the age of 50. Hemorrhoids are also common among pregnant women. The pressure of the fetus in the abdomen, as well as hormonal changes, cause the hemorrhoidal vessels to enlarge. These vessels are also placed under severe pressure during childbirth. For most women, however, hemorrhoids caused by pregnancy are a temporary problem. Recent researches in India have now established that the herb, Euphorbia prostata, is very effective in treating piles and anal fissures. In a recent study conducted at the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Punjab University, Chandigarh, as many as 32,000 patients of piles and anal fissures have been reported to have benefited from oral (capsule/tablet) and topical (cream/gel) forms of Euphorbia prostata. No significant side effects were reported. Following the studies initiated by BestOnHealth, an SBU of Delhi-based pharma major, Panacea Biotec, and the encouraging results of their succeeding monolithic study on 32,000 patients, the company in association with the Punjab University has recently patented the technology for extracting flavonoids from Euphorbia prostata, vide European patent no. EP 0868914. Based on this technology, BestonHealth has introduced India’s first hundred per cent integrated and natural piles management system called “Thank God”. The company has patented the product worldwide and plans to introduce it soon in Europe, Latin America and other parts of Asia. This integrated kit combines the benefits of flavonoids with those of naturally occurring ispaghulla husk, and comprises of a relief capsules, topical anytime cream, isphaghulla husk, a pain and relief cream, and an applicator. One of the major ingredients in Euphorbia prostata is flavonoids. Flavonoids have aroused considerable interest recently because of their potential beneficial effects on human health – they have been reported to have antiviral, anti-allergic, anti-platelet, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and antioxidant activities. In two other similar but more specific studies initiated in 2001 by BestOnHealth under the supervision of Dr. M. P. Arora of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Dr. V. K. Malik of Maulana Azad Medical College, 118 cases of bleeding hemorrhoids were administered Euphorbia prostata-based flavonoids at effective doses and were examined later at 5 and 10 days for improvement in symptoms related to piles. The objective of the study was to explore and certify the benefits of flavonoids extracted from Euphorbia prostata in piles management. The symptoms of piles pertained to anal discomfort and pain, discharge of mucous from anus (proctorhhea) and inflammation of the rectum (proctitis). At the end of the eight-month trial, the physicians observed a statistical difference in the cure rate profile among the patients selected. It was observed that patients who were given flavonoids achieved an overwhelmingly significant cure and relief from symptoms of bleeding piles when compared to patients in the controlled group (on placebo). It is now established that flavonoids extracted from Euphorbia prostata reduce bleeding, pain and inflammation associated with piles, and reduce itching. They also promote efficient wound healing. Euphorbia prostata has been found effective in the entire efficacy parameters of bleeding hemorrhoids and show minimal side-effects, with high tolerance among patients. Experts further suggest that these flavonoids work best in piles management when combined with other natural remedies like ispaghulla husk etc., and such an integrated approach also significantly reduces the risk of a relapse (recurrence) in piles. Experts opine that such a rationally formulated combination therapy seems to have an exponential and positive remedial effect, and may speed up recovery from the symptoms of piles. This would be a big relief for the many patients hitherto hiding their distressing anguish and suffering incessantly yet silently. The pain, it seems, is finally over.
Discover how cheap travel agents can save your time and money
It used to be the case that cheap travel agents were a sort of oxymoron. People paid a premium to get their vacations and business trips booked by someone else with little or no disturbance. Since the advent of the internet, all that has changed. Travel agents have had to lower their prices and fees to compete with the internet. Most people who can afford vacations or go on business trips also have access to the internet. There are many sites on the internet that allow a person the ability to quickly and easily make all their own travel arrangements. In addition, airlines and hotels have upped the prices they charge travel agents because the airlines and the hotel companies want people to book directly through their own places. Because of these factors, travel agencies have had to lower their prices considerably in order to compete, resulting in cheap travel agents. Just because there is a excess of cheap travel agents doesn’t mean that the quality is any less than it used to be. Indeed, many cheap travel agents, in addition to lower prices, offer many more services than they used to in order to attract and keep more business. For example, cheap travel agents may book activities for you. If you are going on a tropical vacation, they can book scuba lessons. If you are going skiing, they can arrange a deal on your raise tickets. Furthermore, cheap travel agents still have access to all sorts of valuable information that you may not have on the internet. For example, cheap travel agents still know which companies are trustworthy and which have had problems. They are also sources of invaluable information such as local customs, if you are traveling abroad, weather, and information on food and water quality. They can offer personal insight into the area you are traveling to which you might not be able to find in an online search. Cheap travel agents not only offer these services, they also do all the groundwork for you. Basically, you decide what you want and the travel agent makes it happen. If you want the best price on an airline or hotel, you may have to go to many different sites to make sure you are getting the best deal. Even cheap travel agents have the best prices and the best deals right at their fingertips. This could save you a lot of time and some money in addition to trying to keep track of which websites had the best deals and the constantly changeable prices that seem to accompany hotel and airplane ticket prices. If you don’t have the time or the leaning to read carefully various websites looking for airfare or hotel deals, consider using the services of a trustworthy and cheap travel agent.
What guys really want for christmas
: Okay, ladies: listen up! I am here to tell you what men want for Christmas. It isn’t cologne and it isn’t some awful looking tie. Please! It could be NFL playoff tickets, but we know that prices for them are through the roof. Instead, us guys want stuff that is both useful and practical something we won’t pretend to like and hide away in our closets, but stuff that we will use all the time. I’ve made a list to make it easy on you as I know how hard it can be for us guys to communicate to our gals. 1. NFL Tickets!!! No, wait! You can go to eBay and get “discounted” tickets for a mid-January meeting between the Giants and some other team for a lot less than what you’ll pay through a neighborhood scalper. How many fans do you think will put up with ten degree Meadowlands cold on a January day to see the Giants. Oh, yeah, I forgot: plenty. Tickets are likely to go for one or two thousand a piece!
2. Hockey Time. More down to earth in price are NHL hockey tickets. Heck, the toothless boys sat out the season last year and everyone is chomping at the bit to see them play. With no strike on the horizon, your guy is likely to be able to see a complete game. All that bloodletting and head bashing for a song! For grins, get him Stanley Cup tickets.
Nothing beats watching a hockey game in June when it is 93 degrees outside! 3. To The Islands! No, not Staten Island and certainly not Long Island. A January or February trip to a warmer climate will be both reasonably priced and fun. Just don’t pick a place that was trashed by one of the 23 tropical systems that attacked the Caribbean, the Americas and the Gulf Coast this year.
No telling what amenities are in place! One rule: have the grandparents come to your house to watch the kid. Junior getting the flu is no reason for you not to go! [Blush!] 4. Get Tools. Yes, if your man enjoys tinkering around the house, get him an electric saw, a power drill, or anything else that he can use to fix that darn, lose railing in the family room! [wink, wink] If you aren’t sure what to get him, a gift certificate will do. Sounds tacky?
Well, it certainly beats a “thanks, dear” when he opens up his gift and finds a water pump inside! 5. Stuff For His Truck. What a guy really wants is something for his truck. Nah, let him get his own gun rack and ammo; I’m talking about a cold air intake or a performance chip. Something that brings power to the ole pick up! What am I saying?
Get him something that he can really use that will bring a smile to his face. Performance exhaust systems, Altezza lights, roof rails, side window vents, fog lights, truck liners, step rails, brake dust shields, hitches, alloy wheels, a set of new tires, head light covers, hood protectors, and an engine pulley are some of the items that are sure to be hot this Christmas. He’ll be happy and he will think you know something about his truck – hey, you are the one who wants him to talk with you, right? Still not sure? Then ask. Chances are I already mentioned something that he wants.
If you are low on cash a set of new truck mats will suffice, but please let him pick the color. Somehow Summer Rose floor mats just don’t match his Silverado’s interior!
A cure for near sightedness radial keratotomy
Radial keratotomy (RK) is a refractive surgical procedure employed to correct myopia or nearsightedness. Radial Keratotomy came into existence by accident rather than through meticulous research. The procedure was discovered by Dr. Svyatoslav Fyodorov when he operated one of his patients who had met with a bicycle accident. The boy wore eyeglasses, which broke on impact, and the glass splinters lodged into his eyes. The doctor had to make several radial incisions in the corneal tissue in order to extract the glass. When the cornea healed, the doctor found that the boy’s eyesight was significantly improved. In radial keratotomy (RK), a series of micro-fine incisions are made in the outer portion of the cornea with the aid of a high-precision calibrated diamond knife. The surgeon administers a local anesthetic, since the incisions are superficial and the procedure is fairly painless. The corneal thickness of the patient’s eye is measured prior to the surgery. Before the incisions are made, the diamond-edged cutting instrument is precisely set under the operating microscope. Thus by flattening the curvature of the cornea in such a manner, RK can easily correct myopia or nearsightedness. Radial keratotomy was first introduced in the United States in the 1980s. Initially it was much of an investigational procedure, with doctors operating only one eye at a time and waiting for at least 3 months to observe the results, before operating on the other eye. But the surgeons gained experience over time and now they could well operate both eyes simultaneously. Now, radial keratotomy is a minor surgery that takes about 15 to 20 minutes for each eye. Radial keratotomy is constantly improving, owing much to the rapid advances in technology, and the fact that a number of such procedures have already been performed successfully. However, RK is not as precise as LASIK and PRK. Since, RK is less predictable, only a few surgeons now perform this procedure.
The history of tattoos
The History Of Tattoos Tattoos have a rich history of tradition, dating back thousands and thousands of years. Throughout the course of time, there has always been an important role of tradition and ritual behind tattoos. In the past, women in Borneo used tattoos as a way to mark their skills. Tattoos were also used in the past as a way to ward away illnesses and disease by placing the tattoo around the fingers and on the wrist. Throughout history, tattoos have also been used to symbolize a clan or society as well. The purpose of tattoos has differed from culture to culture throughout the course of time. Research has shown that the earliest tattoos come from Egypt during the time of the pyramids, although most believe they started much earlier. Egyptians at this time were believed to use tattoos as a way to mark the slaves and the peasants. Around 2,000 BC, tattoos spread to China and then on to Greece, where the Greeks used tattoos as a way to communicate among spies. Along the way, Japan also incorporated the use of tattoos as well. The Japanese people used tattoos for religious and ceremonial rites. During this era, Borneo women were the artists. They produced the designs that indicated the individuals point in life and the tribe that he was affiliated with. Tattoos were very popular during these days, although infections were quite common. Tattoos were a long way from being perfected – which showed in the way they were done. Tattoos were shown in the western regions as well, although they weren’t well accepted at first. William Dampher, who was once an explorer, was the man who re-introduced tattoos to the western areas. During the year 1961, he brought a heavily tattooed Prince to the area, showing off his tattoos with exhibitions. He made quite a bit of money with these attractions, which in turn made tattoos very popular and well desired throughout London and surrounding areas. Before then, it was nearly 600 years since tattoos had been witnessed in the area. Chatham Square, which is located in New York City, was the first place to feature American styled tattoos. During the turn of the century, Chatham Square attracted people from all over the United States, especially those with money. A man by the name of Samuel O-Reily set up shop in Chatham Square, becoming the first man to use an electric tattoo gun. In the beginning, the now popular tattoo gun was based on Thomas Edison’s electric pin that used a needle point to puncture paper. The electric tattoo gun features moving coils, a needle bar and tube, which are common components of today’s guns. The electric gun was very popular, allowing those who wanted a tattoo to get one at a great price. These guns helped to revolutionize tattoos and allowed the tattoo artists to give tattoos fairly fast as well. People took to this new technology in flocks, making it by far the best and most efficient ways to get tattoos. During the late 1960s, tattoos really began to take off. They were featured in magazines, television, and talked about everywhere. These days, tattoos are very common, with nearly Ѕ of the population in the United States having at least one tattoo. They are still common with bikers and clans, symbolizing that one is a member. There are millions of designs out there for tattoos – including different color combinations that have helped to make tattoos the phenomenon they are today. (word count 580)
The concept of dvd duplication
With new technology allowing for many new innovations, DVD duplication is becoming very popular. Before considering DVD duplication, it's important to gain an understanding of what is permitted and what is not. Films that have copyright protection may not be duplicated in any way. Doing so could result in serious penalties, so just don't do it. However, DVD duplication can be wonderful if you want to transfer photos onto a disk or if you have family movies that you wish to transfer from old VHS tapes or from one DVD to another. Before you begin, try and determine what you want to get out of your DVD. Do you plan to erase the contents of the disc and record over it someday or do you plan to leave the contents on the disc permanently? If you ever plan to erase or record over the contents of a DVD, then you will need to purchase a DVD-RW. This abbreviation stands for DVD rewritable disc and means that it can be recorded and erased just the same as a VHS video. If you do not intend to erase the contents of a DVD, then a DVD+R will work fine. These are more affordable than the DVD-RW discs, but it's important to keep in mind that a DVD+R can never be recorded over again. Once the contents are recorded, they are there to stay. The same is true with a music CD. If you want to have the flexibility of recording and re-recording audio music, you will need to purchase a CD-RW disc. If you do not plan to record over the contents at any point in the future, a CD+R disc will be the more affordable option for your project. DVD duplication is a wonderful way to preserve memories and even share copies of those memories with family. Have you recorded your child's first steps of his/her first birthday? If so, consider putting them on to a DVD and mailing them to other members of the family who live out of state and aren't there to witness the everyday occurrences. It will give them a feeling of being close and they will love to see such a touching video. In order to create a successful DVD duplication, you will need a DVD recording unit. Up until several years ago, these products were nonexistent, but now they are everywhere. You can find them in the electronics section of your local retail store or online at virtually any electronic or retail website. DVD duplication is a wonderful way to preserve your old memories while making new ones at the same time. Just as Beta left us years ago, VHS systems are soon to follow. With the new creation of DVD and DVD duplication devices, it's never to soon to convert those precious home video memories onto DVD format. Years from now, if all of your home movies are on VHS, what happens when the VHS player develops operational problems? There may not be another system to purchase, but you can take great comfort in knowing that there will be DVD players.
Know your friendly neighborhood assistance dogs
Dogs, aside from being his best friend has also served man in so many useful and varied ways – from shepherding, to cattle rustling, to rescue, and protecting property. It doesn’t come as a surprise that they also are able to assist those who cannot get about by themselves. Assistance dogs are specially trained dogs that serve to complement, assist, and aid those that may have some sort of limitation. They have also become indispensable to some who have difficulty with mobility due to some disability. Below are a few ways dogs have truly become man’s best friend as assistance dogs. Guide Dogs: When you mention assistance dogs, this is the first function they perform that comes to mind. These types of dogs help those who have visual impairment and help them move about conveniently. They help these people cross roads, climb stairs, and find their way around a place. They are usually able to help these people manage even potentially hazardous areas. Hearing Dogs: These dogs assist those that have hearing impairment, and are specially trained to nudge their owners when they hear certain noises such as telephone rings, doorbells, and horns among others. Mobility Assist Dog: These friendly canines pull wheelchairs, and carry light equipment for their owners in their backpacks. These amazing dogs assist those who cannot move around easily to at least find convenience moving around an area. They are a delight to watch in action and are usually heartwarming to see. Seizure Alert/Response Dog: These dogs are trained to hit a button that contacts 911 in case of a seizure or cardiac attack. Operators are advised in advance that calls coming from this line are activated by dogs. In turn, they alert paramedics on a possible emergency situation. As with most assistance dogs, they do not leave their owner’s side and are constantly alert and observant. Psychiatric Service Dog: Psychiatric Service Dogs provide an emotional security blanket to those who may have mental illnesses and phobias. They also help autistic people stay focused. These dogs never leave their owner’s side and provide steady, reliable companionship to their owners. Combo Dogs These dogs are a hybrid combination of the above mentioned assistance dog types. They are trained to assist those with multiple disabilities or needs. Although their jobs may seem quite overboard, they do accomplish such with a gladdening reliability. Assistance dogs serve a vital part of many people’s lives. They are not only ‘tools’ that assist a deficiency, but friends that provide companionship for the duration of their lives.

Top ten reasons why i love baseball
1 The Ultimate Challenge - Hitting a round ball with a round bat. The feeling I would get when I hit the ball. Just think of a baby that is crying for food. When that baby gets her bottle the first thing you hear is that ahhhhh sound. Oh that ah. When I hit a ball perfectly I would have that ahhhhh. 2 I call it Contentment at a high level. - I played all the time when I was a kid. Some of my favorite memories were from the diamond. When I hit two home runs in one game off the star pitcher form our High School team. I rounded the bases in full view of our High School coach. I was glowing. When I hit a game ending home run off Jay Klein. He thought I could only hit singles. Rounding the bases of redemption was a another special moment for me. When I broke up two no hitters from the star, city league pitcher. I felt like I had made the grade, and that was awesome. 3 Easy watching - I can sit in my favorite chair and root for Derek Jeter to hit one up the gap. Holding my breath with every pitch delivered to him. Or, I can sit and read the paper and view the events of the game through the corner of my eye. Either way is ok with me. 4 I am amazed by what Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig accomplished in their careers. I look at old film footage, or read about either The Babe or Larripin Lou and always feel awed by the big numbers they both put on the board. From home runs to RBIs to batting average to runs scored, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig achieved over and over again. 5 Double my pleasure. - I could play baseball and get a tan at the same time. 6 My sons played and my daughter still plays. I have had the pleasure of sharing joyous moments with my children. Times that I will not forget. Like when my daughter got the game winning hit against Fair Lawn High School last year. We won 1-0. I was jumping up and down. I was so excited. I was so happy she delivered. 7 I love all of the statistics. Did you ever see so many stats? Runs, RBIs, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, stolen bases etc....paring eras, or comparing players. Duos like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig – how do they stack up against other twosomes. Who had the highest batting average in a three or four or five year stint? So many statistics to choose form. It is endless. 8 A place to excel - I loved taking a hit away from the batter. I felt great stealing a base. Why is it that stealing is bad except in baseball? My satisfaction was heightened by a solid hit. This was the best. Ahhhh. I especially felt great rounding the bases after hitting a homer. I think I know how Babe Ruth felt when he whacked one. 9 My favorite team is the Yankees. Of all the teams I root for in all the professional sports I watch the Yankees are the only team that wins on a fairly regular basis. All my other teams usually lose. It feels good when my team wins. 10 I love the stories. - Like the story Mickey Mantle tells of the time when he first joined the Yankees. He was not hitting well. His confidence was dwindling. After days of desperation he called his father when he was playing near Oklahoma. Mickey Mantle was hoping his father would give him a pep talk. But when Muck Mantle got to the hotel room where Mickey and the New York Yankees were staying. Muck did not give his son a pep talk. He did the opposite. Mickey’s father told Mickey that he was there to pick up his son and bring him home. Mickey’s father said that he did not know he raised a quitter. Mickey Mantle got the message. He started to hit after his father left. He attributes that meeting with his father as a turning point in his career. I have heard Mickey Mantle tell that story a few times on tape or live. Whenever I hear him tell it I am moved by Mickey’s love for his father. 11 It is just the greatest game. Feel Free to pass this article on to anyone you think would enjoy reading it.
What can i get a loan for
Nowadays you can get a loan for just about anything, from buying a holiday home to having laser eye surgery. Here we give you low down on the most popular loans people take out, and how you too can get finance to make your life a little easier… Winter Sun When calculating the cost of a holiday, the actual accommodation and method of transport are the easy bits. Once you’ve added on insurance, food, drinks and sight seeing costs, the amount you need could easily have doubled! That is why taking out a loan for a holiday is more common place than you may think – whether it is for a special holiday like a honeymoon or a once in a lifetime cruise, or simply your annual family holiday. However, not all loan providers will allow you to take out a loan to pay for a holiday, as they fail to understand the increasing costs of a family holiday, so check out if they would before you apply. Home Improvement The second most popular reason for applying for a loan (behind debt consolidation loans) is for home improvements. This is because a loan tends to work out more cost effective than running up an overdraft, credit card debts, or taking store credit etc. Whether you are looking to give your home a new lease of life with a lick of paint or new furniture and/or carpets, a home improvement loan will also allow you to ‘go large’ and get a conservatory, a landscaped garden or a loft conversion! Debt consolidation Consolidation loans are the number one reason why people take out a loan as, if it is done properly, you are left with lower interest charges and lower monthly payments. This is because your consolidation loan - which is a loan that lumps together all your existing debts - should reduce the amount of interest you are currently being charged. And by paying lower interest charges, you’ll also be saving money in the short term as well as having one manageable monthly outgoing as opposed to a myriad of monthly demands. In summary, there are loans out there for just about anything you desire. However, before committing to any sort of debt, do ensure that you can comfortably afford the monthly repayments.
Reading food labels how a small change can make a big difference
Most people simply don't pay attention to what they eat. They choose food solely on the basis of taste (or worse, packaging). While everyone agrees that food should certainly taste good, there is also a need for our food to be nutritionally sound. If you are not accustomed to evaluating your food choices, grab a package of you favorite food with a nutrition label on it and let's get started! When evaluating a nutrition label, pay attention first to the serving size. A particular food, for instance ice cream, may only have 150 calories per serving, but if the serving size is Ѕ cup and you eat a whole cup, you have had 300 calories. Paying attention to this one section of the food label alone can help you drastically reduce your caloric intake and help you to lose unwanted pounds. However, keep in mind that if a food is high in calories per serving it does not mean that you should never eat it. Just reserve those treats for occasional use, making sure that eating it does not add up to more calories than you burn that day. Additionally, all foods can be broken down into three components called macronutrients. These macronutrients are proteins, fats and carbohydrates. There are healthy and not-so-healthy types of each of these macronutrients and they are all listed on food labels. (Micronutrients, which are commonly referred to as vitamins and minerals, will not be discussed here, but also can be found on food labels.) Next pay attention to the fat content of a particular food. You'll likely see listings for total, saturated and trans fats. Although you don't need to stay away from fat altogether (we need some fat in our diets to survive), steer clear of saturated and trans fats as much as possible. Saturated and trans fats increase your risk of developing conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Better fats will be listed as polyunsaturated and monosaturated on food labels. Try getting your daily fat intake from nuts, seeds and plant oils instead of butter, high fat meats and processed snack foods. Where carbohydrates are concerned, think whole grains instead of processed or refined. On food labels you will see the total amount of carbohydrates listed with the amount of dietary fiber underneath. Foods that are more processed or refined will have less fiber. White bread and pasta as well as cookies, cakes and candies will be high in processed carbohydrates and low in fiber. Look for items that boast 100% whole grains when shopping for crackers, bread and pasta to reduce your chance of developing diseases such as diabetes, colon cancer and high cholesterol. Also, be careful of how many calories you drink. Sodas, sports drinks and alcohol contain carbohydrate calories without the benefit of fiber for the most part. These drinks are typically loaded with refined sugar. Stick with water and milk, or 100% juice in limited quantities – no more than 1 glass a day. Some meats, and most fruits and vegetables, do not carry nutrition labels. However, a good reference book or web site will list macronutrient values for almost every fruit or vegetable imaginable. Every day, you need about three to nine grams of protein for every ten pounds of body weight. Most Americans eat more than enough to satisfy this requirement. Make sure your protein intake is in balance with what your body requires. For meals that don't come with a nutrition label, a quick search on the internet will help you find the calorie content of foods from many different restaurants. Using this information, you can still eat out at your favorite places without overindulging in too many calories. The key to good health is information. The more you know, the easier it is to be healthy and fit. Learn about your favorite foods so that you can make good food choices that will enhance your overall health. copyright 2006 Jennifer Wetmore, DPT
Bingo history story of the game bingo
The origins of contemporary bingo go back to 16th century Italy, where the lottery game Lo Giuoco del Lotto dItalia was introduced. The popular chance game was introduced to North America in the late 1920s by the name of Beano. A toy salesperson of New York was responsible for changing the name of the game into Bingo and to the increase of its popularity throughout the US. In the late 18th century, the original Italian lotto game made its way to France. Historical evidence shows that a game called Le Lotto was popular among the French high society who used to play the game in parties and social gatherings. Le Lotto used to be played with special cards that were divided into three rows and nine columns. Each of the three columns consists of 10 numbers, while each column had five random number and four blank spaces in it. Each player had a different lotto card where he used to mark the number announced by the caller. The first player to cover one row won the game. By the 19th century, the lotto game spread around Europe and started to serve as a didactic childrens game. In the 1850s, several educational lotto games had entered the German toys market. The lotto games purpose was to teach children how to spell words, how to multiply numbers, etc. By 1920s, a similar version to the lotto game, known as beano was popular at county fairs throughout the US. In beano, the players placed beans on their cards to mark the called out number. The first player who completed a full row on his card, used to yell out Beano!, until one night in December 1929, when a New Yorker toys salesperson by the name of Edwin S. Lowe visited a country fair outside Jacksonville, Georgia. On his way back to New York, Lowe had purchased beano equipment including dried beans, a rubber numbering stamp and cardboard. At his New York home, Lowe has been hosting friendly beano games. During one game, one excited winner who had managed to complete a full row stuttered out Bingo, instead of Beano. Listening to the excited stuttering girl, Edwin S. Lowe thoughts went away. Lowe decided to develop a new game that would be called Bingo. While Lowe’s Bingo game was making its first steps in the market, a Pennsylvanian priest asked Lowe to use the game for charity purpose. After a short tryout period, the priest had found out that the bingo game causes the churches to lose money. Since the variety of bingo cards was limited, each bingo game ended up in more than five winners. In order to develop the game and to lower the probabilities of winning, Lowe approached Prof. Carl Leffler, a mathematician from Columbia University. Leffler was asked to create bigger variety of bingo cards that each of them will have unique combination of numbers. By 1930, Lowe had 6,000 bingo cards and Prof. Leffler went insane. Since then, the popularity of the bingo game as a fundraiser continued to grow. In less than five years, about 10,000 weekly bingo games took place throughout North America. Lowe’s company grew to employ several thousands of employees and to occupy more than 60 presses 24 hours a day. Now, bingo is one of the most popular chance games in the world. It is played in churches, schools, local bingo halls and land based casinos in the US, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world.

You can t go wrong with royal caribbean cruise ships
Royal Caribbean cruise ships sail beyond the Caribbean. The line has a total of five ship families, 22 ships currently sailing and several under construction. The Genesis, currently being built in Norway, will cost over a billion dollars and accommodate 5400 travelers. She's set to arrive in 2009. But until the newest ship arrives, the world's second-largest cruise line has a wide range of ships to choose from. The Empress of the Seas is in a class by herself. The smallest of the Royal Caribbean cruise ships, she still has the ability to carry over 2,000 passengers. The ship visits over 100 ports of call, from Alaska to the Caribbean, Bermuda and Panama. Slightly larger are the Sovereign family of ships. One these ships you'll find some of the amenities that were missing from the Empress, like conference centers, and more swimming pools and restaurants. You'll also notice more "elbow room" on a Sovereign ship, and slightly larger cabins. The Vision family of ships has six members. These ships are medium-sized, and designed to go almost anywhere—and they do. The Caribbean, Bermuda, Europe. . . even a transatlantic cruise are all popular destinations and all served by the Vision family. These ships are very versatile, and their destination, length, and departure port offerings all reflect that. The Radiance Family of ships offers slightly larger deck plans and these ships can carry more people. You'll also see an upgrade of the ship itself and amenities on this class of ship. Glass elevators carry you up and down the decks, and the nine-story Centrum and glass solarium allow you to see the beauty of Nature passing by. And speaking of Nature, the Radiance family of ships uses gas-turbine engines, the most ecologically friendly out there. Next up is the Voyager Family with five ships. At over 1,000 feet, these are very large ships. These ships sail to Bermuda, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and even transatlantic crossings. These are the ships with the legendary ice skating rinks on them. There are, of course, the rock-climbing wall, fitness center, several swimming pools and hot tubs, and restaurants and bars galore. And finally, the "big daddy" of cruise ships, at least until the newest one arrives. The Freedom family is Royal Caribbean's largest family of cruise ships. Weighing in at 160,000 tons, you might wonder how she floats. But float she does, all 1,112 feet of her. Aboard one of the Freedom family of ships (the Freedom of the Seas, the Independence of the Seas, or the Liberty of the Seas) you'll find the first-ever shipboard surf park. A waterpark, boxing ring, and wireless internet service throughout the ship will keep you entertained and connected. There are flat-screen televisions in every stateroom, restaurants ranging from casual pizzerias to formal dining areas, and sports of every imaginable sort. Typically sailing from Florida (Miami or Ft. Lauderdale) these ships primarily sail the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. However, transatlantic crossings are made once or twice a year, so if you fall in love with these ships as so many people do, you may want to opt for a longer voyage. There certainly is variety in your choice of Royal Caribbean cruise ships, and your options for onboard activities are even broader. Especially if you're one of the more active cruisers, this may be the cruise for you!

Here are some tips: First make sure the information is correct: Proper address, correct vehicle information, your name and age are correct, and the vehicle is properly classified. Take a DMV approved auto accident prevention course. Your insurance company must apply a credit to your premiums for three years if you take and complete the course. Additionally, if you have points (violations) on your driver's license, this course will remove up four of them (hopefully you don't have more than that). Automatic seatbelts and airbags will earn you a credit on your medical payments and no fault (not on the liability nor physical damage) coverages. A small credit, but a credit none the less. Anti lock brakes is a biggie and earns a discount on most of your policy coverages. Daytime running lamps will earn a further discount on your liability, collision, no fault and medical payments coverages. Join the Combat Auto Theft Program (CAT). This program allows police officers to stop vehicles with an official decal if it is driven during the prime vehicle theft hours between 1 and 5 am. Some companies will offer a discount for participating in CAT. Earn a Careful Driver discount for drivers without an accident for a given period of time. Multi-policy discount – if you have more than one policy with the same insurer, most insurance companies will offer a discount. Senior Citizens and/or retirees may be offered a discount because they're generally on the road less often than younger drivers. Increase your deductibles. Higher deductibles lower your premium Drop physical damage coverage on old vehicles. Chat with your insurance agent. They are a great resource for money saving tips
Types of magic tricks
Magic is one form of entertainment enjoyed by many people from all walks of life. It is something that will never cease to amaze people both young and old. If one wishes to become a good magician, it would be a great help to know the various types of magic tricks before performing any. Magic tricks are done in a wide variety of ways and fall into different types; 1. The first one is called close up magic. It's the type that requires the least skill and many can do it with just a little practice. It usually involves the use of simple things such as a deck of cards, some small balls or a coin. It entails making people believe in one thing but doing something else. This kind of trick proves that the hand is faster than the eye. 2. The next type is called platform magic. This is done in a much larger scale than the first. Some tricks of this type that are well-known include cutting a person that is inside a box in half or making a person who's lying down levitate in the air after the table below has been removed. 3. The third type, which is very tricky, is called stage magic. Such performances are done quite rarely but when performed, they can become one great magic extravaganza. Such type includes making the statue of liberty disappear or walking through the Great Wall of China. Innumerable magic tricks and trick lessons make it possible for a lot of people to learn how to become one good magician. This can be accomplished by buying a magic set or reading a book. Many of these people started while at home, watching how other people do it. Other people who have some experience have talked with others and learned a trick or two. One can start with a small audience then have a larger one later on. To those who want to do more extreme magic, one should invest more into the trade, learn from others then make a mark to be truly called a magician. One trick of the trade is to remember that no magician, either a beginner or an expert, should ever reveal the secrets of doing a trick to his or her spectator. Also, no magician has ever become successful overnight. Practice and reinvention can help a lot in getting near that coveted status of a magician -- the famous and most loved one.
